November 15, 1915 — June 2, 2002
Thelma Wissing, 87, of Murfreesboro, TN (formerly of Owensboro), died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro. The Henry County, IN native was a Secretary at Texas Gas for over 20 years; formerly a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owenbsoro; a member of St. Marks United Methodist in Murfreesboro, United Methodist Women; served on the Mary Kendall Home Board as Secretary, Owensboro Womens Club, Life member of the Spiceland, IN Eastern Star; and was a volunteer at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Wissing in 1986.
She is survived by a son, Steven D. Wissing of Newburgh, IN; a daughter, Eleanor K. Burris if Satsuma, FL; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 3 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at the Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 1-3 P.M. on Wednesday.
