Thelma Marksberry Thompson, 95 of Highway 405 passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late L.H. and Annie Blythe Marksberry. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and co-owned and operated Trail-A-Way Lake and Recreation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Thompson, Jr. on July 20, 1999 and a son, George W. Thompson, III on October 24, 2003.

She is survived by a daughter, Patty Ann (and Jimmy) Miller of Yelvington; sons, Edwin (and Lois Ann) Thompson and Jimmy (and Joyce) Thompson all of Yelvington; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Sampley of Owensboro and Anna Blythe Howard of McLean County; brothers, Louis (and Dorothy) Marksberry of Spice Knob and William H Bill ( and Louise) Marksberry of Philpot.

Services are 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M. Monday and after 10 A.M. Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kentucky Baptist Home for Children or the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
