Thelma Jane Rose, 89, of 2401 Friendship Dr., Owensboro, died August 5, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Putnam County, West Virginia native was retired as a riverboat cook and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church radio ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Rose.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty Florence Warner of Rural Hall, OH and Hester Ellen Santrock of Akron, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 3 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2001 at the Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 P.M.
Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Gallipolis,OH. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 P.M. (EST), Friday, August 10, 2001 in Gallipolis.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church Children's Chior of to the Kentucky Baptist Children's Homes.
