Thelma H. McLimore, 88, of Owensboro, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at her home. Thelma was born in McLean County to the late Robert and Lydian (Maddox) Howard. She was a caring mother and grandmother, was retired from General Electric and was a member of the First General Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching wrestling.
Her husband of 59 years, James L McLimore preceded her in death in 2002, as well as sisters, Julia Faye Howard, Louise Ford, Anna Gene Ford, and a brother, Samuel Howard.
Surviving are two sons, Donald L. (Judy) McLimore of Owensboro, James E. (Sharon) McLimore of Evansville, a daughter, Linda C. (Greg) Oakley of Philpot, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
