Thelma Mae Fitzgerald

Thelma M. Fitzgerald, 81, of Owensboro passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County to the late Charles and Susie Pendleton.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was of the Baptist faith and retired from Owensboro Transit System. She loved bingo and enjoyed spending time playing on her computer.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Fitzgerald, Jr. in 1975; her second husband, Leslie Fitzgerald in 1994; a grandson, Darby Ray Maya in 2002; and sisters, Betty Stevens and Barbara Blevins.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by a daughter, Carol Fitzgerald of Owensboro; sons, Sam Fitzgerald, III and his wife, Donna of Owensboro and Gary Fitzgerald and his wife, Peggy of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jessie, Kalie, Rachel, Melissa and Tiffany; four great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren: Mike Caudill and his wife, Sheila, Nathan Caudill, Stephanie Walters and her husband, Ross; and six great-step-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon until 2 PM.
