Thelma Grace Crump

Thelma Grace Crump, 91, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015. She was born in Daviess County on August 29, 1923 to the late Lonnie and Sarah Wheatley Henry. Thelma was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and served many roles within the parish. She enjoyed cooking, raising vegetables, and tending to her rose garden. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Crump and all of her siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ben Edward Crump; daughters, Karen Payne (Mike) and Sally Jackson (Eddie), both of Owensboro, and son Father Mike Crump of Robstown TX; grandchildren Stacy Duke, Jason Duke, Adam Duke, Allison Crump, Brian Crump, Nicholas "Nick" Jackson, and Nathan Jackson, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Blessed Mother Catholic Church.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 13th 2015 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 3 until 8pm Monday and after 8:30 am Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be said at 7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
