Thelma Elois Barnett

Thelma Elois, Barnett, 90, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Wellington Parc. She was born September 8, 1927 in Ohio County, daughter of the late Otis and Nora Miller Rock. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and retired from General Electric after 38 years. After her retirement, Thelma enjoyed spending winters in Lakeland, Florida, traveling, and walking in Legion Park.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Garland Rock, Glendon Rock, Wendel Rock, and Carl Rock, and four sisters, Nola Abbott, Emma Lambert, Gloria Reeves, and Ann Dicus.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Russell and husband Larry and her granddaughter, Emily Russell, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 15, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Thursday at Blessed Mother.
