Terry J. Payne

Terry J. Payne, 64, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, May 12, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 15, 1959, to the late C. Maurice and Wanda Cashen Payne. 

In his younger years, Terry was a farmer in Daviess County. He was also widely known for his love of the outdoors. Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved boating and used to be an avid water skier. Terry was a great cook and loved to barbecue. He will be remembered as the person who never met a stranger, and for his big smile.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Pam Shepherd (Dan), of Owensboro, KY, Rodney Payne, of Huntsville, AL, Jerry Payne (Bonnie), of Ft. Branch, IN, Joyce Payne of Weeki Wachee, FL, and Tina Guth (Jon), of Independence, KY; 7 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews, plus two on the way; along with beloved uncles, and many cousins. 

The funeral service for Terry will be 10 AM Wednesday, May 22, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery.
