Terry Wayne Mayfield

Terry W Mayfield, 55, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Mayfield was born September 2, 1960 in Daviess County to the late James Mayfield and Maxine Huff Mayfield. Terry graduated from OHS in 1978 and worked at AK Steel for the last 17 years while being active in the local union. He was an avid Cubs fan, charming, funny and selfless who always thought of others first. But most of all, Terry was a rock for his family as a protector and provider.

Mr. Mayfield was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Mayfield; sisters, Darlene Mayfield and Janis Feltman.

Survivors include his mother, Maxine Mayfield; son, Brad Mayfield and wife Adriana; daughters, Christina Tolson and husband Jeremy, Neige Mayfield and Bryan Pearson, Keeley Edwards and husband Matt all of Owensboro; grandsons, Conner and Caleb Tolson, Anthony, Vincent, and Tobias Mayfield; sisters Sandra Howard and husband Owen, Kathy Burns, Glenda Scott and husband Kevin; girlfriend, Judy Mangin and her son, Dylan; several nieces and nephews.

The service will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 28 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dewayne Mercer officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 and Tuesday from 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
