Teresa Hays Henderson

Teresa Hays Henderson, 89, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2014. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Daviess County to the late Richard and Catherine Johnson Hays. Teresa was of the catholic faith and attended St. Francis School and then Tech High before going to work. She worked for General Electric, Glenmore Distillery, and Medley's Distillery. She was an avid bowler and golfer and also loved to play bingo.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Wallace D. "BoBo" Henderson, 5 siblings, and step grandchildren Jeff Parker and Mike Parker.

Surviving are her two daughters, Rita Henderson Chew of Owensboro & Tara Henderson Parker and husband Herb Parker of Louisville, two grandsons, Kevin Akers and wife Jackie of Franklin, TN and Keith Chew and wife Valerie of Owensboro, a granddaughter, Amy Parker Cuenca and husband Carlos of Louisville, a great grandson, Kole Akers of Franklin, TN and a great granddaughter, Grace Isabel Cuenca of Louisville, two step-grandchildren, Rick Parker of Owensboro and Sondra Parker of Orlando, FL, 9 step-great grandchildren, sister, Lucille Strong of Owensboro and numerous nieces and nephews.


A funeral mass will be held 10 am Monday December 29, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1 until 5pm on Sunday and after 8:30 Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 4pm Sunday. Burial will follow the mass at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
