Teresa Rose Fulkerson

Teresa Rose Fulkerson, 82, of 1338 Hill Avenue passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro, the daughter of the late Ira Head and Catherine Winter Head, she graduated from St. Francis Academy, after which she worked at General Electric. In 1949, she along with her late husband, James W. "Jimmy" Fulkerson began their ownership of Petie's Spotlight, an Owensboro restaurant institution. She retired in 1982. Teresa enjoyed eating, shopping, travel, socializing, and playing cards. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Head.

Survivors include her children, Jim Tony Fulkerson, Lisa Fulkerson, and Barry "Totsie" Fulkerson and his wife Sherry, all of Owensboro; and her grandchildren, Matt Simon of Owensboro, Chase Simon of Bowling Green, and Nick Simon of Omaha, NE.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at The Immaculate Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
