Tennie Robbins Triplett

February 2, 1944 — November 14, 2017

Tennie Robbins Triplett passed away at her home November 14, 2017 at the age of 73. Born in Roswell, New Mexico, Tennie was an educator, having received her baccalaureate degree from Murray State University and held AMI Montessori credentials. She was a co-founder of The Triplett School where she taught for 20 years and had previously taught in Kentucky and Arizona public schools as well as in the Primanti Montessori School in California. Tennie's interests included reading, doll collecting, decorating, and old movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond H. and Grace Crumbliss Robbins; and her half-sister, Vera Lee Robbins.

Tennie is survived by her husband of 49 years Frederic A. "Rick" Triplett; her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth Grace Triplett and Justin. L. Abarca of Van Nuys, CA; her grandchildren Violet Abarca-Triplett and Arthur Abarca-Triplett; as well as her sisters Mary Duncan and her husband Charles, of Lexington and Martha Kellar and her husband Robert of New Mexico.

A gathering of friends and family of Mrs. Triplett will begin 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, concluding with a time of remembrance at 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to share memories with or offer condolences to the family of Tennie may visit www.glenncares.com.
