Ted Purcell

Ted Purcell, 71, of Owensboro, passed away March 31, 2018, at Transcendent Healthcare Center in Booneville, IN. He was born March 2, 1947, in Daviess County to the late Carl and Bertha Wilson Purcell. Ted had worked as a truck driver for Clark Restaurant Service and enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing Bingo, and was a basketball enthusiast. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Carl, Donnie, and Robert Purcell.

Ted is survived by his daughter, Donna Sparks, of Owensboro; sons, Anthony Purcell, Ted "Richie" (Diana) Purcell, and Chris (Crystal) Purcell, all of Owensboro; sisters, Mary Purcell, Margaret Willett, Faye Whittaker, and Erma Purcell, also all of Owensboro; brother, Danny Purcell, of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, his former wife of 50 years, Diana Purcell of Owensboro, his dog, Lucy, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
