Tammy Elaine Benson Jones

Tammy Elaine Benson Jones, 64, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on October 27, 1961, in Daviess County to the late Bartley Benson and Ella Mae (Long) Taucher.

Tammy is survived by her six adoring sons, Brandon (Kim) Payne, Gary Jones, Travis Jones, Caleb (Cori) Jones, Jacob (Zachary) Silveira, and Dakota Jones; her brother, Kent (Barb) Benson; her half-brothers, Damond (Kim) Benson and Joe (Ellen) Benson; and her numerous grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Pansy Askin.

Tammy was a loving mother who supported her children without exception and devoted follower of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her expansive family, supporting the Church, and felt most content when sunbathing on the beach. She was most notably characterized by her endless sense of humor and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.

A time of visitation for family and friends of Tammy will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with the committal service following in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
