Tamara Johnson Millay, 48, of Thruston passed away Thursday June 8, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Ms. Millay was born September 5, 1968 in Daviess County to Norman and Doris "Winnie" Johnson. Tammy graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1986. She had a smile and joyous personality that was a spark that turned normal into exceptional. Tammy loved being with her family especially caring for her nieces and nephews. When she was not sitting on her front porch swing, she enjoyed boating or escaping to the beach.
Tammy was preceded in death by her brother Keith Wayne Johnson in 1992. The family wishes to express their loving memories of both Tammy and Keith with this short poem.

Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, still loved, and ever dear.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Meagan Millay and son, Spencer Millay both of Thruston; parents, Norman and Winnie Johnson; sisters, Ruth Ann Austin and husband John of Philpot and Tabitha Massie and fiancé Rodney Willinger of Owensboro; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Alex, and Cambron Austin, Chloe Ambrose, and Jaxson Willinger; numerous aunts and uncles; special friends, Brandon Millay and Dillin Renfrow.
The funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Tom Buckman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM with prayers at 6:30 and Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
