Tabitha Shouse Brey

Tabitha Shouse Brey, 41, of Lebanon, TN, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at her home. She was a 1992 graduate of Apollo High School, and was previously employed by Southwest Airlines. Tabitha had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She had a free spirit and loved all animals and cared deeply for their welfare, taking in strays and adopting many dogs throughout her life. Tabitha's favorite past time was listening to her husband, Ben, play the guitar. His music soothed her soul and hearing him play in the Zach Kerber Band brought her great joy.

Tabitha was preceded in death by her father, Larry T. Shouse in January of 2010, and her two beloved dogs, Chloe and Murray.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Brey; two loving companions, Nora and Shooter; her parents Keith and Patsy Brumley of Owensboro; brother, Brian Shouse and his wife, Dawn of Louisville; nephews, Garrett, Dylan, and Ethan Shouse, and mother-in-law, Kathy Brey of Owensboro.

Services will be noon Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daviess County Animal Shelter or a local animal shelter of your choosing.
