Sylvia Mae ONeal

Sylvia Mae O'Neal, age 91, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Owensboro Place. She was born on November 17, 1920 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late John and Lattie Meador.

Aside from her loving parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years Rev. Norman T. O' Neal, a son; Donny J. O'Neal, two brothers; Rory E. Meador and Louis Meador, and a sister; Mary Hill.
The main priorities in Sylvia's life were her family and service as a minister's wife for 63 years. She was an active bowler in Owensboro Senior Bowling League, and a skilled quilter.

She is survived by two loving sons; Norman T. O'Neal, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Bowling Green, KY and Joe " Joey" O' Neal of Owensboro/ Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Dr. Glenn Sowards will officiate. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00pm until 7:00pm and on Thursday from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
