Sylvia Heflin

Sylvia Theresa (Froehlich) Heflin passed away at her home with her family by her side on June 21, 2015. She was born on February 28, 1937 in Owensboro, to the late Paul and Ava (Harl) Froehlich.

She was a member of the St. Stephens Cathedral. She worked 42 years as a Medical Technologist for Labcorp until her retirement.

She leaves behind, two daughters: Julie Heflin (Tim) Brown of Cincinnati, Jennifer Heflin (Pat) Bosley of Owensboro, two sons: John R. (Kim) Heflin III of Lexington, Jason L. Heflin of Owensboro., grandchildren: Elizabeth Brown, Kelly Heflin, Emily Brown, Amy Heflin, Nicholas Bosley, Timothy Brown, Paige Bosley, two brothers: Bill and Norman (Joan) Froehlich, sister: Shirley Jarboe. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and special lifelong friends: Judy Rector, Sue Howell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: John R. Heflin II, sisters: Helen Franey, Gloria Burcham, Louise Haynes, June Clark, Ava Froehlich, brothers: PJ Froehlich, Tom Froehlich, Jim Froehlich, Baby Bosley

Funeral services will be Thursday June 25, 2015 at 12:00pm at St. Stephens Cathedral with Father John Vaughan and Father Jerry Riney officiating, visitation will be Wednesday June 24, 2015 from 2:00pm til 8:00pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with prayers at 7:00pm, also after 10:00am Thursday.
