Sue A. Spratt Shepherd

Sue A. Spratt Shepherd, 85, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on August 30, 1923, in Daviess County to the late Cleveland and Cora Pagan Spratt. Mrs. Shepherd was a member of Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church and had retired from General Electric after 40 years. She was preceded in death by her siblings, William Spratt, John Spratt, Robert Spratt and Mattie Spratt.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Rowland Shepherd; sons, Mike Shepherd and his wife Carol of Owensboro and Ronnie Shepherd and his wife Susan of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Diana Latham and her husband Monty of McLean County; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved Shih Tzu Corky.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
