Sue Etta Wedding Sapp

Sue Etta Wedding Sapp, 94, of Owensboro passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Daviess County on January 6, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Louis Patrick Wedding and Mary Angela Coomes Wedding; was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church; and was a member of the West Central Kentucky Family Researchers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vernie Sapp, Jr. in 1989 and brothers, Paul Wedding and Charlie Wedding.

She is survived by her daughter, Angelita Taylor of Owensboro; her son, Joseph V. Sapp, III of Boynton Beach, FL; granddaughters, Monica (and Garry) Stone of Reynolds Station (Ohio Co.) and Ashley Taylor of Owensboro; a grandson, Joel Taylor of Owensboro; her great-grandchildren, Christa Sosh, Madison Stone, Damian Taylor and Shaun Taylor; her great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine Hayes and Daelyn Clements; brothers, Louis P. ( and Birdie) Wedding and James B.(and Judy) Wedding; sisters, Mary Howard and Raymunda (and John) Calhoun; and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Wedding and Theresa Wedding.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday and after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be at 6 p.m. on Monday evening.
