Sue Alice Gardner Mclemore

Sue Alice Gardner McLemore, 66, of 3236 Steeplechase, Owensboro died Monday, March 4, 2002 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 1, 1935 the daughter to S. Jack and Alma Lee Gardner.

She retired as a teacher after 32 years and taught in Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia. She received a bachelors degree from University of Kentucky, a masters degree from Murray State University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota Delta and Alpha Sigma sororities and Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.She was also amember of the ''Small Group'' at Settle.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, O. C. Mac McLemore; a son, Mark McLemore of Prestonsburg; a daughter, Cindy McLemore Thompson of Owensboro; three grandchildren,Jack Thompson of Owensboro, Ashley and Amanda THompson, both of Campbellsville,Ky.; her mother Alma Lee Gardner of New Albany, IN; two brothers, Sam Gardner of Clarksville, IN and Dr. Richard P. Gardner of New Albany; two sisters, Jackie Shroat of Frankfort, and Linda Graves of New Albany; 14 nephews and nieces; and an aunt, Nellie Outland of Murray.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Todd Love. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Murray City Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
