Sue Greathouse Hale

Sue Greathouse Hale, 57, of Owensboro, passed away on October 31, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Chicago to the late James Clifford Greathouse and Eula "Priss" (Woods) Moore.

Sue was a graduate of Owensboro Vocational School of Nursing. As an LPN with "Almost Family" she provided care to special needs children for several years. Prior to that, she was employed at Medco.

Sue enjoyed travelling, especially cruises and time at the beach. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Walker.

Sue is survived by her husband of 41 years, David A. Hale; daughters, Sheena Fitzgerald and Crystal Adkins (Thomas); a son, David L. Hale (Christy); six grandchildren, Ashley and Leslie Fitzgerald, Sarah and Christian Hale, Jamie Hale and Dakota Adkins; two sisters, Marie Harris and Angela Brooks; and four brothers, Charles, Ricky, Roger and Albert Greathouse, all of Owensboro.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Cletus Sinnett will officiate. Burial will be at Nickel Ridge Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM and on Saturday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
