Sudie Carrie Sapp

Sudie Carrie Sapp, 94, of Owensboro, died Friday, May 21, 2004 at her home. The Daviess County native was a homemaker, wonderful mother, and member of the Third Baptist Church. Mrs. Sapp was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the Third Baptist Senior Citizens Group, and enjoyed walking, cooking for her family, and yard work. She was also a special friend for anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.O. Sapp in 1956 and a son, Jerry Owsley Sapp in 1979.

She is survived by 6 daughters, Shirley Cook, Mildred Reynolds, Marion Jackie Rickard, and Sandra ( and her husband David) Richardson all of Owensboro, Jill ( and her husband Jim) Kelly of Fairland, OK, and Donna Ballard of Hartford; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who survive her.

Funeral services are 12 Noon , Monday, May 24, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-6 P.M. on Sunday and after 9 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice or the Masonville Baptist Church Music Fund.
