Steve Allen Sparks

Steve Allen Sparks, 67, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born January 10, 1957 in Daviess County to the late Edward Allen and Mary Evans Sparks.  Steve had been employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Paducah and Owensboro for about 18 years.  He also had worked as a chef at the Executive Inns in Paducah and Owensboro prior to being with O’Reilly’s.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and cooking.

Steve was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patricia Sparks in 2012 and two sisters, Judy Roberts and Karen Logsdon Howard.

Surviving are his son, Derek Sparks of Owensboro; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sheila Sparks of Owensboro; two stepsons, William Warren and Gary Warren, both of Paducah; four step grandchildren, William Warren II, Alyssa Weck, Clayton Warren, and Cailey Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Steve will be held at 5 PM Saturday, February 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.  A private burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah beside his wife at a later date.  Visitation will be from 3 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
