Stephen Lynn Wahl, 65, passed away February 4, 2017 at his home in Louisville. Born in Owensboro November 28, 1951, his career was spent in the pipeline industry. Steve was committed to extreme sports before the phrase was coined, a commitment which saw him deeply involved in professional drag boat racing and spending as much time as he could on the water, from racing and fixing boats to barefoot skiing. His love of anything with a motor and speed brought him all over the country as a racer, mechanic, and a spectator. Steve was gifted in anything mechanical, he could fix, maintain, and run anything he put his hands on. He was only more passionate about his children's passions; his daughter and her horses, his son's love of machinery and following in his footsteps. Remarkably outgoing, he viewed every new acquaintance as a friend and was never hesitant to talk about his children and grandchildren and to share his pictures of them regardless of whether they wished to see them. Of all his interests, the time spent with his family was of the greatest importance. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy L. Wahl and Shirlene Stevens Wahl.
Surviving Steve are his son Jonathan Wahl of Louisville; his daughter Nikki Wahl-Seto (Eric) of Simpsonville; his grandchildren Lilliana Seto and Reilly Wahl; his brother Rodger Wahl (Glenda) of Bowling Green; his stepmother Patty Bell Wahl of Owensboro; and his significant other Angela Franey
