Stephen Lee Skelton

Stephen Lee Skelton, 75, of Philpot, died Monday June 17, 2013 at Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center. He retired a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He received multiple Air Force Commendation Medals for meritorious service and was named 1975 Airman of the Year at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Opal (Harris) Skelton, and a brother, Clifton Skelton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret (Higdon) Skelton, a daughter, Serena (Mat) Brooks, grandchildren Dylan and Bailey Brooks, sisters Mary Hester Skelton and Irma Lyle, and stepmother Mary Skelton.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with visitation from 12-4pm. Interment will be in Holly Springs, MS.
