Stephen Allen Onstott

Mr. Stephen Allen Onstott, 47, of Philpot, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 5, 1957 to the late Iverson Bear and Mary Elizabeth Brown Onstott in Daviess County. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, board member of Trinity High School, worked for Siemens Corporation as a CPL planner at AK Steel in Rockport, IN. He loved to tinker in his garage, and enjoyed bar-b-ques with family and friends. Steve enjoyed everything related to computers, watching his girls play Whitesville Trinity sports, watching his son play baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling with his brothers. His greatest love was studying Catholic Apologetics.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Julie Ward Onstott; two daughters, Amanda-18 and Brett-15; one son, Ben-12, all at home; one sister, Bonnie Lauer and her husband, Bob of Seattle, WA; five brothers and their wives, Charles and Linda Onstott, Donnie and Dianne Onstott, Kenny and Becky Onstott, Terry and Teresa Onstott, all of Owensboro, Darrell and Phyllis Onstott of Boise, ID; 22 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan and Chuck Green, Bobby Ward, Holly and Robert Askin, Scott Ward, David and Debbie Ward, Michael and Debby Ward, Leanne and Scott Murphy, Nancy and Keith Arnold, Kathy and Brad Lanham, Carolyn and Pat Hume, John and Angela Ward, all of Owensboro, Tracy and Kevin Ward of Santa Claus, IN, 41 nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, with burial in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be after 9:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
