Stephen J. Kuhna, 73, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born March 15, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Stephen Joseph and Susan T. Hustak Kuhna. Stephen had retired as the owner and operator of Spectrum Transportation and was a U. S. Army veteran during the Viet Nam War Era. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to different casinos, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a son, Stephen J. Kuhna, Jr. in 1986, a brother, Michael Kuhna, and two sisters, Florence Tomczuk and Dorothy Freed.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Kuhna and wife Jennifer and David Kuhna and wife Amy, all of Owensboro, grandchildren, Hunter, Keeley, Hailey, and Michael Kuhna, three sisters, Anna Marie Lauro, Mary Venezia, and Betty Warman and a brother, John Kuhna, all of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 8, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
