Stephen Todd Estes

Stephen Todd Estes, 65, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at his home. Born March 29, 1958, to the late Todd Clifton and Wanda Faye Estes. Stephen had a passion for farming. He spent most of his life working on the family farm, Estes Farms, and retired from CRS Reprocessing after more than fifteen years. Stephen enjoyed being outdoors, motorcross, fishing with Uncle Steve’s boys, traveling, and hunting on the farm. He hated being late and was always on time. Stephen also enjoyed his truck and never missed watching the Dallas Cowboys.  Most of all, Stephen loved taking trips with his daughter, Ashley and going on walks with his granddaughter, Elodie, and four-legged companion, Addy, who together, were the joys of his life. He will be remembered as being the best dad and papa that you could ask for.

Those left to cherish his memory include his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Karen Minton Estes; daughter, Ashley Murphy (Justin); granddaughter, Elodie Murphy; sisters, Cathy Edelen (Donnie) and Kay Christ (Henry); uncles, Tom Estes, Doug Estes, and Mack Estes; his Yorkipoo, Addy; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
