Stephen Dale Christian

Stephen Dale Christian, 52, of Maceo, passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born June 18, 1965 in Daviess County, to Joseph H. and Judy Crenshaw Christian. Stephen graduated from Daviess County High School, he previously worked for Shady Rest BBQ, and was a manager at Old Hickory where he worked for many years. Stephen will be greatly missed by his work family at Old Hickory, who he had shared many special relationships and memories with. He enjoyed gardening and watching the fruits of his labor grow, liked to travel, and especially going to Gatlinburg where he and Diane went on their honeymoon, after they married on June 10, 2000, and had rode motorcycles for many years too.

Stephen was a member of Christ Community Church and was a kind and good Christian man who always treated others as he thought Christ himself would treat them, with never asking for anything in return. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. Stephen was always a loving husband, dad, brother, and son.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lucille Crenshaw, also Charles and Dorothy Christian; and his mother in law, Janice Gibson.

Along with his parents, Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Diane Gibson Christian; his daughter, Stephanie Lee Chase and his first grand-baby due in November; brothers, Tony Christian (Becky), Mark Christian (Marsha), and David Allen Christian; nieces and nephews, Amber Demoya, Chandler Christian, Chris Blanford, Sydney Blanford, and Juliet Gibson; He also had a special place in his heart for his current and previous dogs, Jazzi Lee and Bear; and cats, Buckwheat and Smokey.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service and a time for sharing at 7 PM Wednesday, May 30 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Myke Templeton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 PM till time of the memorial service at the funeral home.
