Stella E. Jackson

Stella E. Jackson, 97, of Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro, KY, formerly of Hancock County died April 17, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She served as Postmaster at Pellville for 19 years. She was a member of Pellville Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Jackson in January 1980; a son, Lee Edward Jackson in June 1969; and a daughter, Betty E. Jackson in September 1934.

Survivors include two sons, Basil Jackson of Owensboro and Rev. James Jackson of Tell City, IN; three daughters, Beulah McDaniel of Bella-Vista, AR, Maxine Barker of Peoria, IL and Clodette Caldwell of Port St. Joe, FL; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one brother, John McDaniel of Owensboro, KY and one sister, Lucille Day, Owensboro, KY.

Services are Monday, April 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Pellville Baptist Church. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery in Hancock County, KY. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday.
