Stella Julia Cirul

Stella Cirul, 92, of 1149 Spencer Drive Owensboro, died Tuesday September 25, 2001 at the home of her daughter. She was born October 28, 1908 the daughter of Anthony and Julia Slotkus. Her husband, John W. Cirul preceded her in death on August 18, 1995.

She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and a longtime volunteer at the Help Office. She donated her hand-crafted works to charitable organizations and the Right to Life.

Survivors include a daughter, Arlene C. Durbin of Owensboro; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Birones Jankiene and Koste Rakauskiene of Lithuania; and a brother, Antanui Slotkus in Lithuania.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday September 28, 2001 at Immaculate Catholic Church, officiated by Father Timothy Sweeney. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday September 27, 2001 and after 9:00 a.m. Friday.
