Stanislaus Stelmach

September 15, 1925 — November 18, 2001

Stanislaus Stelmach, 76, of Maple Mount, KY died Sunday, November 18, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. A native of Tarnow, Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1950. He retired from Maple Mount Farm after 40 years of service as a dairyman and butcher. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and watching TV.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Genevieve Wnek Stelmach; four sons, Todd Stelmach, John Stelmach and Joe Stelmach, all of Owensboro and Mike Stelmach of St. Joseph, KY; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; two step-great grandchildren; a brother Wieslaw Stelmach of Tarnow, Poland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph, KY with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday, Nov 20 and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday. Parish prayers will be said at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
