He was born on February 8, 1937, in St. Charles, Virginia, to the late Clyde and Aline Fleenor Crusenberry. Stan was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
Stan’s life was marked by his proud service in the United States Army and the United States Army Reserves. He served in South Korea immediately following the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Defense Service Medal for his service. This chapter of his life helped shape his character and instilled in him a lifelong sense of duty and commitment. Throughout his years, Stan remained actively engaged in his community as a valued member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.), and the Lions Club.
Beyond his involvement in the community, Stan enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He found joy and relaxation in boating, bowling, and fishing, and had a lifelong passion for automobiles. He also enjoyed spending time at the horse track, pursuits that brought him much happiness over the years.
He is remembered fondly by those who survive him, including his son, Tom (Christy) Crusenberry; and his daughter, Beth (Tim) Potts. He took great pride in his grandchildren, Caite (Jacob) Schreiver, Christian (Marissa) Potts, Laura Beth (Zach) Daugherty, Tristin Crusenberry, and Chaney Crusenberry; as well as his seven great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his brother, Clyde Crusenberry; and sisters, Nellie Holman, Ruby Kepley, and Joann Simonetti.
