Stacy Simpson

Stacy M. Simpson, 23, of Utica, passed away January 18, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Owensboro on September 24, 2000, Stacy was a vibrant and outgoing person that captivated everyone she encountered.  Her smile was contagious, her heart was bigger than life, and her devotion to her children, fiancé, family, and friends was more than anyone could ask.

Stacy went to school for pharmaceutical technology and was currently a manager at Ole South Bar-B-Q.  When not working, loved spending time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories.  Stacy loved God and was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Martha Simpson, aunt, Norma Burden and uncle, Tim Adkins.

She is survived by her children, Odessa, Opal and Onyx; fiancé, Gus Kirk; parents, Wanda and Nick Baker; siblings, K.J. Simpson, Brett Baker, Nicholas Baker and Hannah Simpson (Patrick Williams); grandmother, Sarah and Kenneth McCarty; father-in-law, Jay Kirk; mother-in-law, Jacki Wilson and sister-in-law, Molly Kirk, along with a host of cousins, co-workers, and friends.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
