Stacy Jo Lee

Stacy Jo Lee, 46, of 712 Danberry Street, Owensboro, joined Him in peace this Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born September 2, 1962 at the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. She formerly served others as an RN and caregiver for many years and held degrees from University of Kentucky, Owensboro Community and Technical College, and Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she served as student President, President of the honors society and treasurer of her nursing class. Ms. Lee was a member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary, Phi Theta Kappa, Woodmen of the World and the early morning breakfast club at Hardee's. Some of her leisure activities included fishing and camping, travel, cooking for family events and spending time with her granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George David Lee, Sr. and Ruby Alethea Lee.

Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Lee Duke; a granddaughter, Halle Elizabeth Duke; siblings, George David Lee, Jr., Yvonne Lee Rudy (John), and Donald Anthony Lee, all of Owensboro; and their children, Jared, Jennifer, Korina, Jamie, Christian and Parker Lee, and Morgan, John David and Griffin Rudy. She was further survived by several cousins, including Portia Martinson of Minnesota, an array of aunts and uncles and the family that dear friends become.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday, and after 12:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
