Sister Mary Elizabeth Krampe

Sister Mary Elizabeth Krampe, 100, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Jan. 14, 2019, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 61st year of religious life.
Born in Rome, Ky., Sister Mary Elizabeth sought a smaller religious community and entered the Ursuline Sisters of Belleville, Ill., in 1958. In October 2005, the Ursulines of Belleville merged with Mount Saint Joseph.
A gifted seamstress, Sister Mary Elizabeth served her community at the Belleville Motherhouse through sewing and needlework, including making many afghans and quilts. She moved to Maple Mount in 2004 and continued in community service.
Survivors include the members of her religious community, nieces and nephews.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Thursday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.
Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, Owensboro, is handling arrangements.
