Sibyl Ashby Whitten Rumage

Sibyl Ashby Whitten Rumage, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Owensboro Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 7, 1922 in Curdsville to the late Pearl and Perk Ashby. She was a member of First Christian Church and was retired from diversified management. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Robert A. Whitten, Jr., the father of her two sons and her second husband Alfred Rumage.

She is survived by her sons, Robert "Robin" Whitten of Phoenix, AZ and Steve Whitten of Guston, Ky., five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 10 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Elba, Ky. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Sunday.
