Sibyl Henton Bennett

July 18, 1920 — March 12, 2004

Sibyl Henton Bennett of Owensboro died March 12, 2004 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on July 18, 1920, she was a member of the Lewis Lane Baptist Church, the Women's Club of Owensboro, the American Business Women's Association, the Garden Club, was a former Dale Carnegie Member and was a Kentucky Colonel. She retired from the General Electric Company in 1979 and had a second career with Lincoln Service Corporation from which she retired in 1988. Her husband, Kelley E. Bennett, preceded her in death in 1982.

She is survived by her step-children; Charles D. Bennett of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, and Eve Bennett-Wood of Los Altos Hills, California; and four step-grandchildren: Katy Marie Bennett, Kelley Joe Bennett, Samuel Bennett Wood and Dorothy Jessie Wood.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home, Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M.. A private interment will be at the Glenn Chapel Cemetery in Lyon County, KY.
