Shirley Ann Phillips Wood, 73, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Heartford House. Born March 5, 1941 in Millport, KY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Julia Wilkerson Phillips; was retired from the Owensboro Public Schools where she worked in maintenance; and was a member of Phillips Chapel. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandchildren, Robin Luna and Gregory Lindsey, brothers, Roger Phillips, Don Phillips and Gerald Phillips, and a sister, Betty Stinnett.
Surviving is her husband of 30 years, Euria Wood; a daughter, Elizabeth Lindsey of Owensboro; sons, Lawrence (Patti) Lindsey, Jr. of Lansing, KS, and Greg Lindsey and Karl Lindsey both of Owensboro; grandchildren, Sulie Villanueva (Eddie), Sophia Lindsey, Breanna Lindsey, Seth Kirby, Kali Lindsey, and Jacob Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Cody Cuahua, Morgan Luna, Euria Luna, Jasmine Villanueva, Bradley Villanueva, Angelina Villanueva, and Kaycen Holeman; a sister, Reba Ford; and a brother, J.V. Phillips.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Briar Creek Church Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
