Shirley Roberts

Shirley Roberts, 70, of Owensboro passed away Thursday March 20, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 24, 1943 in Owensboro to the late Charles and Minnie Bell Morris Roberts. She attended 7th day Adventist Church and was preceded in death by sisters; Linda Kirby Stasser, Marian Rose Goff Schill, and Betty Ruth Roberts; brothers, Gary W. Roberts and Marvin E Roberts.

She attended City and County Schools and Community College. She served in the U.S. Army at various bases and in Italy for several years. She was a SGT in the 100 Division ACU and a paratrooper 1st Class with the 101st Airborne Division. She later retired from the local National Guard.

Survivors include her brothers; Donnie (Linda C.) Roberts, Kenneth (Ruby M.) Roberts and sister-in-law Debbie Roberts (Gary W.); and 15 Nieces and Nephews

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, March 24 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
