Shirley J. Lewis

Shirley J. Lewis, 75, of Owensboro died on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Todd County, Kentucky to the late Oda Ray Lewis and Elvia H. Vincent.

Shirley was a longtime and faithful member of Apostolic Light House Church. Many years ago she worked at American Cigar Factory for a period of twenty years. Shirley enjoyed quilting and the many dogs she had through the years. She was a generous person and spent much of her time with family and her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Anderson; a daughter, Pam Cheek in 2009; a brother, Michael Norris; and a sister, Vickie Vincent.

Shirley is survived by daughters, Cindy Sparks (Mike) and Terri Williams, both of Owensboro; a son, Jeffrey Williams; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Vincent.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 12 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Keith Avery will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Monday after 12 Noon at the funeral home.
