Shirley Ann Hamilton Jones

Shirley Ann Hamilton Jones, 67 of Owensboro passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Kendrick Lawrence and Mary Theresa Hamilton. Mrs. Jones retired from Leisure Years Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2004 where she had worked as an LPN. She attended St Stephen Cathedral; enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, watching UK basketball, and her retirement.

She is survived by children, Leigh Ann Jones of Princeton, Christopher Dwayne (and Crystal) Jones, Amy (and Mike) Bouchard, Sara Gay Linan, and Gregory Alan (and Teresa) Jones all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Evan Jones, Eric Jones, Ryan Jones, Emily Bouchard, Katie Bouchard, Adam Bouchard, Stephanie Linan and Michelle Linan; and brothers, William Earl (and Sharon) Hamilton, Herman Joseph (and Sheila) Hamilton, and Samuel Gregory Hamilton all of Owensboro, Gerald Thomas (and Joyce) Hamilton of Cassopolis, MI, George Lawrence (and Kathy) Hamilton of Knottsville, John Richard (and Dian) of Hawesville; sisters, Rose Mary (and Larry) Craigg of Novato, Ca, Mildred Ellen (and Eugene) Howard and Nancy Faye Hester both of Owensboro, and Anna Faye (and Lorenzo) Taylor of Ormond Beach, FL and aunts and uncles, James (and Louise) Hodskins of Philpot and Joseph (and Patricia) Hamilton of Curdsville.

Services are 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Stephen Cathedral officiated by Father Freddie Byrd with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday and 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
