Shirley Joann Ward Hayden

Shirley Joann Ward Hayden, 69, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Born November 7, 1939 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Jo and Edith Payne Ward; was a homemaker; and member of Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, children, and grandchildren. Shirley's greatest joy was her family and her pride in their lives knew no bounds. She was constant in her concern for others and will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Pruden, in 2003.

Mrs. Hayden is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank; daughters, Jodi (Frank) Molnar of Owensboro and Jana (Ryan) Hudson of Calhoun; sons, Ross Hayden of Georgetown, KY and Ryan Hayden of Owensboro; a sister, Judy ( Ron ) Henry of Owensboro; a brother, Bobby ( Maria ) Ward of Russellville; a brother-in-law, Gerald Pruden of Owensboro; grandchildren, Rebekah Hayden, Amberli and Ashley Birkhead, Riley and Hayden Hudson; and dear friends, her sister-in-law, Faye Hayden, and a niece, Jennifer Pruden.

Services are 11 A.M. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Tony Jones officiating followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-7 on Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
