Shirley Ann Hartgrove

Shirley Ann Hartgrove, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born November 26, 1938 in Madison, Indiana to the late Clyde M. and Lillian Bennett Miller. Shirley was retired from Sears, Roebuck, and Co. in the accounting department and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved talking, laughing, and spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up. She enjoyed yoga and socializing with her yoga friends and she loved doing thoughtful things for friends and family and even cooking dinner for them. Shirley was looking forward to the day that she could be reunited with her husband, John of 49 years.

Also preceding Shirley in death is her husband, John N. Hartgrove in 2010; her brothers and sisters, Lloyd, Wayne, Harold, Clyde Ray, and Dale Miller and Dorothy Giesler and Doris Jessup.

Surviving are her children, Julie A. Stallings (Brett) and Robert J. Hartgrove (Donna), all of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Lucas, Wesley, Bridget, and Austin and a great grandson, Fineas; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation for Shirley from 1 PM until 4 PM Saturday, May 31 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
