Sherry L. Lambert Leach

Sherry L. Lambert Leach, 78, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her home with her family by her side and under the care of Hospice. The Daviess County native was born July 11, 1948, to the late Lester Lambert and Jeannette Keown Lambert. Sherry graduated from Owensboro High School with the class of 1966. She attended Brescia College before transferring to Spalding University to receive her bachelor’s degree in laboratory technology. Sherry moved to Marion, IL with her family for many years before returning to Owensboro. She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and animals of all kinds, especially dogs. Sherry was an avid reader and an excellent cook. She was outgoing, caring, and had a great sense of humor.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Scott Leach of Owensboro and Chris Leach (Missy Cianciola) of Champaign, IL; their father, Neil Leach of Marion, IL; sister, Jana Lambert Raber of The Villages, FL; aunt, Linda Hamilton; niece, Jill Raber and her children, Jordan Von Heimburg and Owen Raber; special friend and devoted caregiver, Jilian Carter.

Visitation for Sherry Leach will be 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Saturday, August 29 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Private family ceremony at a later date.
