Sherry Lynn Smith Barnett

Sherry Lynn Smith Barnett, 44, of Owensboro, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home. Sherry was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Franklin Gene Smith and Joyce (Moore) Smith. She was a member of the Owensboro First United Baptist Church, the APA Pool League, and was an avid Miami Dolphin fan. She loved working at U.S. Bank, and being with her family and friends.

Surviving is her husband of 27 years, Darrell Barnett, a son, Austin (Maggie May) Barnett, a daughter, Brittany Barnett, granddaughter, Gracie Lynn Vera Barnett, her mother, Joyce Smith, a brother, Terry Smith, all of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
