Sherrill Burden

Sherrill Burden, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Signature Healthcare---Hillcrest. He was born June 9, 1938 in Hancock County. Sherrill was retired from the Hon Co. after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a 1957 graduate of Owensboro High School, enjoyed going to car shows, and was an avid reader. Sherrill also enjoyed watching old movies, was a U.K. basketball fan, and loved listening to Elvis Presley music.

Sherrill was preceded in death by his parents, Kincheloe and Rebecca L. Powers Burden, a sister, Evelyn Reid, and a brother, David K. Burden.

Surviving are a sister, Judith A, Hancock of Owensboro and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Noon Friday, March 27 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with entombment following in Rosehill Mausoleum. Visitation will be after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home.
