Shelby Jean Sheldon

Shelby Jean Sheldon, 67, of Daviess County, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 4, 2005 at her home. Born in Daviess County on July 10, 1937, Ms Sheldon the daughter of the late Hubert Franklin Sheldon, Sr. and Myrl Lambert Sheldon. She retired from the Dollar General Store where she was a sales clerk. She was a member of the Karns Grove Baptist Church and attended the Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Ms. Sheldon was a graduate of Daviess County High School and loved gardening, spending many happy hours working with flowers.

She is survived by two brothers, Hubert Sheldon, Jr. and J.D. Sheldon both of Lewisport; two nieces and their spouses, Debbie and Johnny Dawson of Lewisport and Beverly and James Stone of Philpot; two nephews and their spouses, Bruce and Cindy Sheldon and Tim and Marijane Sheldon all of Lewisport; and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service 11 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Roberts Cemetery ( on the right side of the road, near mile marker 9 on HWY 1389) in Daviess County. It was Ms. Sheldons request that everyone attending her service dress casually.
