Sheila Dianne West

S. Dianne West, 66, of Owensboro, KY, passed away March 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 25, 1951 in Owensboro to the late James L. Baker and Kathleen "Kay" Baker. Dianne was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and was a 1969 graduate of Owensboro High School. Dianne had worked in the Banking industry for over 40 years before retiring from First Security Bank in 2016 where she proudly severed as Vice President. During her short retirement, Dianne could be seen riding her bicycle or walking many miles at the Owensboro Family YMCA where she served as a board member. Dianne was involved in Girls Inc. for over 18 years where she was on both the Trustee and Advisory Boards. She was very active at Sts. Joseph and Paul where she served on the Finance Committee, Children's Liturgy and was a Hospitality and Welcome Center Minister. In addition, she also participated in the Women's prayer group, RCIA, Faith Formation and Koinonia. Dianne had a passion for exercise, the beach and making the most delicious homemade fudge in the world. She especially enjoyed beach vacations where she was able to spoil her three be-loved grandchildren and participate in their famous dance parties.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jerry West and will be missed by her son Jason West, his wife Julie and their three children Madelyn Kathleen West, Gracie Todd West, and John Robert West all of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by her sisters; Linda Hardison (Jerald) of Cookeville, TN, Anna "Sissy" Thompson (Pat); Brothers, David Baker (Lori) and Mike Baker (JoElla) all of Owensboro. She was the best Aunt "Di" to her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law; Rick West (Kathy), Gary West (Sabrina), John West (Barbara), Jim West (Sherrie), and sister-in-law Penny Sapp (Dewayne), all of Owensboro.

Services will be held 10AM, March 21, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church in Owenbsoro, with Fr. Carl McCarthy officiating. The Burial will be private. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
